June 21, 2012 – Pension agitation in the UK hit Ford as employees staged a 24-hour strike to protest pension and pay cuts for new hires.
White-collar, salaried workers, members of the Unite union, struck on Monday to challenge the company’s plan to close its defined benefit scheme to new employees. Workers on hourly wages have already agreed to a package that includes DB changes for new hires.
